Steps to Create a Night Vision Potion in the Survival Mode
Before you craft the potion of night vision, you have to collect the ingredients needed first. The ingredients you need to make the potion are one nether wart, one golden carrot, and one water bottle.
If you already have the materials, follow these steps below to craft the potion.
Open Your Brewing Stand
First, open your brewing stand that you can find in the brewing menu. The brewing stand is where you will put the materials into in order to make the night vision potion.
Activate Your Brewing Stand
Next, you have to activate your brewing stand by adding the blaze powder in the box to the left.
Add the Materials
As you can see, the brewing stand consists of 4 boxes: one box at the top and 3 boxes at the bottom. You place the materials in the top box.
And the potion will be created in the 3 boxes at the bottom. First, put the water bottle in the first box of the 3 boxes at the bottom.
Then, place the nether wart in the top box. When the bubbles and arrow turn white, this means the brewing process is starting and progressing. The nether wart will disappear when the brewing process is complete.
In this stage, your water bottle contains a potion that has no effect. Next, add the golden carrot in the top box. You will hear a sound and the golden carrot will be gone once the brewing process is done. Now, your water bottle contains the potion of night vision.
You can craft up to 3 potions of night vision by placing 3 water bottles in the 3 boxes at the bottom. If you want to know the name of the potion and the effects, position your pointer in the brewing stand.
Drink this potion in order to get night vision for 3 minutes. This potion is dramatically helpful when you need to explore under the ocean and the nether.
Once you have created the potion, you can move it to your inventory or continue and turn the potion into the splash potion of night vision.
How to Make the Splash Potion of Night Vision
The ingredients you need to make the splash potion of night vision are one gunpowder and one night vision potion.
Open your brewing stand and add the ingredients to it. Put the gunpowder in the top box and the night vision potion in the first box of the 3 boxes at the bottom.
The gunpowder will disappear, and you will hear a sound once the brewing process is done. Now, you have finished making the splash potion of night vision. Do not forget to move it to your inventory.
When you throw this potion to another player, they will have 2 minutes and 15 seconds of night vision. You can also throw this splash potion to yourself if you want to.
